A revolutionary and gentle way of influencing
behavior and well-being in companion animals.
Deirdre Chitwood - Certified Tellington TTouch Practioner
Thank you so much for the T-touch therapy you provided my cat, Emma Lou. She had a traumatic life prior to my adopting her and never seemed really at ease with me. I complicated things for her by first bringing in another cat, then moving her 1800 miles over the course of 30+ horrible hours in a car, with the final insult being a new puppy brother! She was becoming increasingly hostile, was obviously unhappy and anxious, and ate too much out of stress.
You were incredibly patient, gentle and understanding with her. I always sensed that you were truly communicating with her, spiritually as well as physically. She went from hiding upon your arrival to greeting you at the door with body rubs and soft meows.
Emma generally is much, much more contented and relaxed. She seeks my attention quite often, seeking out the touching she used to shun. Her body language is very loose now, and I frequently find her laying tummy up, front paws bent towards her chest, comfortably asleep. Prior to T-Touch, she rarely exposed herself this way. Her voice has even changed and no longer sounds like she’s complaining whenever she speaks.
She’s also more playful with my second cat, Jasmine, with whom you also worked occasionally. I get such joy seeing the two of them chasing each other back and forth, and sharing playtime with the magical “feather stick”. Your diet revamp made such a difference in Emma’s overall condition that my vet, upon seeing her for the first time, remarked how lush her coat is along with having very “young” teeth, especially for a rescue kitty. She no longer seems to be an emotional eater, either.
You may recall that I originally contacted you because Emma was stalking – and had viciously attacked once – my 2-pound puppy. They still have their rough moments, but usually co-exist peacefully. It’s not uncommon for the puppy to be laying within a few inches of Emma while he works on a rawhide chew, Emma stretched out languidly as if she were alone in the world. If there’s trouble, it’s at the puppy’s initiation.
Your patience and loving kindness are as remarkable as your generosity with your time. Emma can enjoy a happier, healthier life as a result of your special gifts.
With love and gratitude,
Karen L. Best (Fort Pierce)
