SEVEN AIMS OF CARING FOR ANIMALS

  1. To be responsive to the needs of animals. This calls for developing kind and caring ways that respects the life that they are and includes learning to listen and finding ways to communicate without dominance.

  2. To work to build a bond of trust between humans and all animals which means being responsible for the consequences of ones actions when dealing with them.

  3. To be mindful of ones thoughts and actions in how we affect the animals as all things in creation are connected.

  4. As the Human's capacity for intelligence is much greater than animals it is our duty to offer them protection, compassion and enhancements in all areas of physical and emotional well-being.

  5. To help animals in whatever way possible on a daily basis as a return for all that they have given to us.

  6. To be part of the remedy and rebalance where animals are concerned by being open to new more humane ways of thinking about animals and influencing their behavior if needed.

  7. To recognize that animals have a reason for being on the planet that is specific to their specie and needs to be valued before the companionship and service work they do for humans.
